"Looks like you got the whole county out here"
That's what our contractor told Ashley's dad this morning when he pulled up at the house and saw 2 skidsteers, a mini excavator and a pan working on the land. Ashley, his dad, two of their employees and J.W. are regrading the dirt around the house so water will flow away, not towards the house.
The pan was by far the most interesting piece of equipment because I haven't seen one working up close.
Oh and in other exciting news, we have a septic tank now, which is marked off by the stakes. Ashley also buried our gas tank this morning.
Busy busy busy! Like Ashley's dad said, it would have been easier to do the grading BEFORE the house was built but it was hard to tell the lay of the land then. Lucky for us that the family is in the land moving /landscaping business!

You sure are lucky to have all that equipment at your disposal! Not to mention some happy little boys to have construction equipment literally right out the window!
